People are generally social by nature. While some disabilities may impact a person’s social capacity, other's will make no difference to a person’s need for connection to community. It is only societies obstacles that can prevent people with disability from being able to engage. At MAP, we consciously eliminate barriers to create environments that are accessible in which people can get to know each other, so they can grow and evolve together in an inclusive space.

We recently held our MAP Winter Games on the lawns of the Provenance in Nuriootpa.  For a mid-winter event we were fortunate to have beautiful sunshine and moderate temperatures.  Clients, staff and families came together to play games on the lawn, connect and indulge in delicious Ember Pizza and Frankie & Co Barossa

Gatherings like this remind us how important it is for all of us to take the time to engage and connect with our people, our community. After all, research shows that being social staves off loneliness, increases well-being, sharpens memory and cognitive skills and creates a sense of happiness.
