MAP Service Integration

84-1

When Barbara Lightburn founded My Ability Pathway (MAP) just over two years ago, she didn’t expect the service to grow so fast.

With forty employees now providing services throughout the Barossa Valley, Gawler, Mount Gambier and mid-north, MAP has become the name people look for in regional disability support services and employment opportunities.

Integration of Barbara Lightburn Support Coordination

The recent integration of Barbara Lightburn Support Coordination (BLSC) means participants of the NDIS can choose a range of services through one organisation. Barbara said,

“MAP commits to building connections, resilience, and skills to create strong positive relationships that support people with a disability; this commitment aligns with what we offer in support coordination, so it made sense to integrate the services.”

“Client choice is the focus of all our services," said Barbara, "integrating support coordination with our disability support services hasn’t changed our commitment to this. The real change is we can put more time and resources into servicing our clients and building our workforce with solid processes established."

New MAP Website

To promote the integration of services, MAP has launched a new website with a complete list of services, job opportunities and detailed information on how to request services.

“We pride ourselves on being authentic, and we believe our new website shows who we are as an organisation. We encourage people to go online and learn more about who we are".
