HR before Employment Hero

We implemented Employment Hero in May 2023 after manually managing our recruitment and induction process (emails, paper forms) for three years. We had been rapidly growing, and the days of emailing induction documents, receiving 20-page PDFs (that would need separating), and wrestling scanners were behind us. We initially explored adding a staff Intranet to our website but then stumbled across Employment Hero. After some research and live demonstrations, we were ready to take it on. As a provider delivering services, we knew that HR management was and always would be a large part of our operations. A year later, I can say Employment Hero has transformed HR management. It has streamlined every aspect of our processes, from recruitment to team member engagement, providing significant operational efficiencies.

 

Key Features of Employment Hero

Recruitment and Team Member Profiles: The Recruitment tab simplifies hiring, enabling us to quickly post jobs and track applications. Managing team member profiles helps ensure all essential information is readily accessible and organised.

Onboarding: Onboarding has become effortless with the self-onboarding feature, allowing new hires to complete their paperwork at their own pace. This has freed up time for more strategic tasks and reduced administrative workload.

Compliance and Reporting: Compliance was challenging, but Employment Hero's compliance management ensures that certifications and policies are always current. The reporting tools offer valuable insights into key HR metrics, which significantly aids us in our decision-making and enhances overall engagement.

Company Feed: The company feed has created a stronger sense of connection within the team, enabling seamless organisational communication.

Team Member Benefits and Development: Our team can access many benefits and professional development opportunities through Go 1 Learning, promoting continuous growth and satisfaction.

Engagement and Performance: Tracking engagement and performance is straightforward, allowing us to maintain a motivated and high-performing team.

Other Features Available

The SWAG mobile app has also been a significant success with our team members. It empowers them to manage their profiles, company information, and other essential tasks while on the go, significantly reducing the administrative workload for everyone involved.

Integrating GO1 Learning has added further value by providing access to over 90,000 resources for continuous professional development. This integration supports our commitment to upskilling and nurturing the growth of our workforce.

Team Member Well Being

In addition, team member well-being remains a priority at MAP, and our partnership with Acacia Connection's Team Member Assistance Program (EAP) offers vital support to our staff and their families. These services are available through multiple channels, ensuring help is accessible whenever needed.

It has improved communication, created efficiencies, streamlined processes and stopped the battle with the scanner —ultimately allowing us to focus more on strategic goals and delivering high-quality service.
