PQ+Plus NDIS Quality in Practice – Frontline Manager Training

In 2023, My Ability Pathway’s (MAP) Leadership Team completed the PQ+Plus NDIS Quality in Practice – Frontline Manager training. Director, Barbara Lightburn had identified that although compliance supports MAP’s NDIS registration, basing policies and actions on best practice and quality management principles creates a state of excellence in service delivery.

 

MAP's Leadership Team worked through each module in small groups, completed projects and individual quizzes. Each month, they discussed the assigned module and reflected on how MAP processes and policies linked with quality principles and what to change to achieve service excellence. We found the group were reflecting on how they deliver services, considering current policies and procedures and identifying actions MAP can take through the lens of quality management.

 

When asked about the impact of the training, Barbara said, “Training is such a fundamental part of continuous improvement within any business, meeting minimum requirements like compliance is not enough, services need to integrate best practice and quality management to achieve a state of excellence, the PQ+Plus training has helped MAP toward achieving that”.
