MAP HQ Official Opening

Written by Tari Wagland | Thu, May 2, 2024

On Wednesday, April 24th, My Ability Pathway (MAP) officially opened MAP HQ. We welcomed approximately 40 guests from various sectors, including allied health, disability, aged care, plan managers, media, clients, staff, and friends. Deputy Mayor Kathy Schilling was also present.

The attendees were not just impressed but genuinely captivated by the design of the space created by Tarac Properties and Steve Angel from Décor Made Easy. Coloured lighting and the sounds of live music performed by artist 'nik a index' created an ambience, with some guests comparing it to a ‘Nightclub’.

Guests enjoyed a substantial, visually appealing and delicious range of savoury and sweet treats provided by Frankie and Co. Catering and Abilities Chocolates, along with local wines and other beverages.

The opening celebration at MAP HQ was not just a celebration of a new space, but a testament to the vision and leadership of MAP's Director Barbara Lightburn. Her forward-thinking actions, including securing the property that is now MAP HQ for a 10-year lease, have paved the way for MAP's ongoing growth and success. This is a space for the management of MAP operations, which also radiates warmth, comfort, and accessibility, inviting stakeholders, clients, and the community to connect and collaborate.

The MAP HQ opening provided an excellent networking opportunity for attendees and it was a lively and tremendous success.
